Gene synthesis and cloning
We are able to massively clone, express and purify recombinant proteins in different expression systems, such as bacteria, yeast, insect and mammal. Current there are more than 5,000 human full length genes cloned into the expression vectors. Approximate 200 clones can be generated per week.
Protein expression and purification
To separate and to purify proteins using up-to-date efficient instruments and methologies, such as electrophoresis systems, FPLCs, HPLCs, and image analysis systems.
Antibody generation and characterization
To generate and identify monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies. There are five cell culture rooms with 100,000 air-clean standard, one animal room with 150 m2 and an immuno-histochemistry laboratory. It is capable to generate approximate 500 monoclonal antibodies per year.
Protein identification by mass spectrometry
We have several mass spectrometers including ESI and MALDI as the ionization sources and aims at identifying and measuring the quantity of proteins, and analyzing the modification states of proteins.
Microarray service
This platform undertakes generation and hybridization of biochips either for DNA chips or for protein chips, including data analysis. It has powerful automatic spotters as well as scanners. We provide rice DNA chip with 60 thousands spots and human protein chip with 5 thousands spots.
